Our "Basic 14'x12' Structure" | ||||||||
The model being presented features 2”wall laminates, treated with water-based elastomeric coatings and non-toxic finishes. The water-based glues are low V.O.C., and contain a fire retardant as well.
Welcome to Sustainable Shelters, The structurally sound, modulated shelter, constructed out of laminated cardboard.
The buildings are stronger, and substantially more lightweight than conventional 2 x 4 construction, and have a very efficient heating and cooling capability. The set up requires no tools, and can be put together by two persons. The set up time (excluding leveling the floor), is approximately one hour. Tear-down is roughly 30 minutes. The entire structure stacks 2' x 8’ x 12’, and all panels are under 8’ for shipping efficiency. A 60’ semi is capable of transport over 20 individual units. This allows for units to be pre-manufactured and stored in disaster prone areas for use when needed, and can be disassembled for reuse as infrastructures are repaired. These units are modular; they can be added onto in increments of 6’ (for example, 14 x 12 – 14 x 18 – 14 x 24)..
Our basic 14 x 12 structure will cost approximately $5,000.00, as this one is seen. We can also supply solar power, electric toilets, and ceramic water purification, for additional costs (to be quoted later).
